Pike Family Visit
Birding buddy Judy Pike from Bisbee, AZ, finally makes it over to San Diego with her family! (Seen here at Bataquitos Lagoon...)
This weather-vane along the trail caught our attention...
After picking up the rest of the family (who slept in J) we head to the Carlsbad public beach, where Judy spies a young Brown Pelican to shoot (with the camera).
Her daughter Janell joins her...
It's obvious this guy isn't going anywhere! (He was later picked up by animal rescue...)
While the rest of us have been shooting pelicans, Judy's hubby Earl has been collecting rocks!
Meanwhile, Janell's kids (Grace and Garrett, center) are having a ball!
Judy tries unsuccessfully to get them to "look at the camera!"
